And they've been able to get people to articulate words, starting at a low success rate and getting up to a 99% success rate, and even to be able to pick up, purely by the brain, so we're heading down this pathway of the virtual reality, to be able to pick up a ball and
And even though they're paralyzed from the neck down, they can feel, because it's going straight into their brain, whether it's a hard ball like a cricket ball or a soft ball like foam with a fairly low success rate.
But then that then ties in with what Frank Zappa said, who is the god here, saying that your brain is your main sexual organ.
So if you can just tap into the brain, you don't have to feel it around the body.
But how do you tap into the brain?
Can you explain Uncanny Valley?
No offence.
No offence.
So Declan, are we kind of answering your question or do you want to start us thinking again with a different bunch of words?
So if you want to get into the brain, presumably you have to get through the skull first, which is a hard bony thing, and you haven't affected what's underneath.
And then once you've got through the brain, through the skull, and you're heading in a sterile fashion, so you're not adding any bacteria, viruses, etc.,
If you're very lucky, you can get a very thin wire with a rounded tip and push it between the nerves and not damage the nerves.
But even then, having the nerves farther apart than they used to be is bad because in a computer, one transistor will talk to one or two other transistors.
In your brain, one nerve will talk to a thousand other nerves.
And so just physically pushing them is going to be bad.
But if you can do that and just physically push them and not damage stuff, you can end up at an area in the brain a few millimetres down and then you can start exciting or reading that.
Oh, like poker machines.
So you don't know what you're going to get.
You put the money in and you might get something really goodβ¦ β¦or something boring.
And just as an incredibly short diversion on nothing related to it, with the ozempic-type drugs, the GLP-1-type drugs that can make people lose weight, their receptors are found in your gut and so suddenly you're thinking, I'm full.
