I pretended I was what they call a MAGA, which is a dumb, gullible American.
They call them MAGAs.
Yeah, it's interestingly the same name, but I don't think it comes from that.
It's a Nigerian saying for a gullible person.

It was the first thing I thought when I saw it as well when they said it to me.
