We had no National Hockey League team.
We had the Pittsburgh Hornets.
And...
you know, uh, there were no, uh, no American players in the national hockey league at that time.
And, uh, one fellow that worked for the Hornets, he would get the players rooms around where we live.
Uh, they didn't make any money, you know, that was back in the day.
And, uh, most genuine sports people I ever met in my life.
Uh, they were coming, we'd play on our feet and they would play against us.
And we had a wonderful time.
And, uh,
I was thrilled to see them win the Cup, and people don't realize that in that 1980, I think they came to Pittsburgh, and the Russians came, and they beat the hell out of us.
