Padraig Harrington always said that pretty much every top player might get 18 months to sort of three years
at their absolute peak, and that's when you've got to cash in.
That's when you've got to win your majors.
That's when you've got to win the big events.
There's obviously exceptions to that.
Tiger Woods has been an exception to that.
I'd say Nelly Cord is probably an exception to that right now as well.
And Scotty Scheffler has looked like he would be an exception to that sort of a rule.
But you do have peaks and troughs in golf.
They play a lot of golf tournaments.
They...
They compete against very, very good players.
And a place like Memorial, this is Jack Nicklaus' event and his golf course, and he makes it tricky, makes it hard.
And so, you know, when you're not playing quite that well, it can frustrate you more because the golf course is so difficult.
And Scotty, I think, is just having a little bit of a,
a little bit of a rough patch.
Some things just aren't quite working as well as they should.
He's a pretty simplistic sort of an elite player where he doesn't work on things that seem that complicated.
You know, he's famous for having a club with a very basic grip trainer on it that he goes back to regularly.
His coach comes out and just looks over and tells him the same old things again and again and again to get him back on track.
