I don't want to be that person who says, well, it's the letter of the law because there's football in common sense with the handball for Jean Neves.
It's for Tini who basically clears it.
Jean Neves is just scared stiff.
But which bit is the law on that then?
If it comes off one of your own teammates?
There's no mention of that.
I've seen other people link to a page with iFab on the top.
Dale Johnson on BBC Sport is the source that I got it from, where he said this.
I was listening to a podcast this morning about it.
Right.
And he did also suggest that that was the case.
I believe that it is the law.
fiddle around um although they do have every meeting as a pdf back to the 19th century okay there is quite an extensive section descending the thing but okay fair enough fair enough but i do think it is while frustrating i do kind of get it that the thing is if it came off vitinia if it was a teammate and it hit your own teammate yeah but it was going towards the goal yes you'd be more i
Yeah, I would be outraged by it.
The fact that it was cleared.
Neves is not trying to gain an advantage, implicit or otherwise, in any way by handling the ball.
Because the ball is intended to go away from the goal.
If it had come off a teammate's head and was going towards the goal, and then it has handball, and then that's deemed to not be handballed, that would be, I think, outrageous.
I think that the Fulham game, I don't want to downplay the victory, but I think Fulham had a lot of illness in the camp.
And even if you take any luck and serendipity that you can, it just allowed Arsenal to kind of play in a way that they would normally want to play.
