I've not said enough about it, quite frankly.
I'm actually really sad because I am already a NordVPN subscriber, so I'm missing out on this excellent deal.
You're preaching to the choir here.
yeah i mean i can only you know speak it from from what i've from her from what i've heard from conversations i've had and there has been no glaring indications that they are going to change whether and that's not me saying i agree with that or i don't agree with that it's just that's the facts and like you say you know you can you can make i mean i've seen quite a few people say and even going back sort of a month or so people saying
It should be announced before the end of the season that they're going to shake hands and walk away and then slot would get a send-off on the final day.
To me, it is so naive to think like that because that's just not how it works.
I think it would be incredibly disrespectful for any club to say to any title-winning manager, we don't believe you're the man to take us forward, but we do want you to qualify for the Champions League.
But we're going to announce it now.
we're going to tell everyone that we're going to get this more popular guy in but you're just going to you know grin and bear it guide this team to the Champions League and then shake hands on the final day that's just not how you know life works how football works and
But I also think there's a bit of a misconception about sort of briefings in the sense that, you know, I think a lot that I've had this season, a lot of my colleagues have had, and, you know, even guys, you know, who were on the wrap as contributors who have, you know, aren't games as press or anything.
The first thing anyone levels at you is, oh, you're doing this to protect your access, or you're doing this because you've had a briefing, and that's not how it works.
It's not like we all get sat in a room and told, right, you have to parrot out this line that Arne Slott is staying as manager.
That's just not how any club operates.
It's certainly not how Liverpool operate.
There isn't really a briefing that comes from it.
It's from conversations that you have with people, and like I say...
I wrote a piece last week trying to weigh up the for's and the against's of him staying.
And I came to the conclusion that...
maybe the third decision isn't necessarily the right decision in the sense that I think you can, whether you agree with this, I'm sure people will say that they don't agree with this, but you can make a case that the third decision is to let him see out the final year of his contract based off the fact that he's a title-winning manager, based off the mitigation, based off the fact that Liverpool are likely to be in the Champions League.
And on paper, if you look at all of those things, you can say, well, the third decision is to let him have that final season.
