Listen, I am not here to yuck your yum, but me personally, I have to stick to the basics.

There are only some things people can take.

Should we award Miguel Vargas with that award on any given day?

Miguel Vargas and the work that he has put in has been nothing short of impressive.

It started last year.

He kept at it.

And I think that's where he's gotten to this point now.

You can't look at him and say he's not putting in his 110, yes, I said it cliched, percent.

Because that's what it feels like is happening here.

It's been an incredible run for him.

And most importantly, it's helping his team.

And to continue with what he did yesterday, where I don't care what you say.

I know Joe Ryan is going to get his, and he is the stopper for Minnesota.

And he didn't do the best time or the best job facing the Sox the last time.

Getting four runs off of Joe Ryan is nothing to be ashamed of.

Over six innings, that's pretty impressive.

But then to understand that Vargas had two home runs in the game,

What more can you say about the guy and the adjustments he's made to become his best hitting self?

So yesterday, perhaps not because you're facing Joe Ryan at home.
