Arlington Heights specifically, and how the Bears don't necessarily need state help in order to get the job done.
He also said, and this is a good reminder, there is nothing stopping them from building this stadium, and there hasn't been since they bought the land outright.
They have the rights to the land.
The thing that is stopping them... Joe Mansueto shows you it is that simple.
Tom Ricketts showed you it is that simple.
We know why they're not building, but that's why they need the help, which is why they have to ask.
And again, this is a bill that the governor wanted to see passed because 38 other states have it.
But at the same time, they didn't do the due diligence first.
And that's why they're in this position.
