The thing, though, is the state, you have to have a balanced budget.
And the narrative about it being broke, the debt rating, the credit rating, rather, has been much higher in the past, even since I moved here from being here 10 years ago to now.
It's much higher.
So, yes, it's true.
They don't want to levy new taxes on stuff because there's a ton.
But the idea, broke isn't the right term for what, it's kind of like when Adam Schefter said the thing about the bears and the salary cap.
That's not exactly the case.
No, but... The budget is maxed.
Historically, when this has been voted on by people who are not our callers, because we have a biased audience, historically it has not gone well.
There's a reason why the Bears, for example, don't want it to go to a ballot.
I think that we have enough technology and ability to be able to vote for these things, but that's me.
But you get the most truthful response that way from the people who you are taxing to pay for this.
