So you almost felt like if you're that โ
deep into a conversation with a guy that could change everything about your team, why would you then ignore that position as you move forward?
You know, the day before the draft we came in here and we talked about who we would take and how we would line up the board, etc.
And I think our discussion centered around the fact that even though they're picking at 25, if you want to fill one of those positions,
you are going to have to overdraft.
You are going to have to take someone that might last to 35.
There might be someone taking it 45.
I mean, you just couldn't afford to wait until you got to pick 57.
It just wasn't reasonable to wait.
And what I did not understand about the draft,
I think you had to take Thienman when he was there.
It was a great pick.
I have no problem with them doing that.
But then the confusing part to me was why weren't you on the phone moving up in that draft, whether it was late in the first round or whether it was early in the second round?

taking combining some of your second day picks it or even one of the you don't want to trade next year's pick it's a better draft but whatever you had to do to get in a position to answer one of those big needs
