That's what it is.

It feels like you are not allowed to get picked off right after you hit for the cycle.

George Brett picked off a first base after getting his 3,000th hit.

They were discussing that during the broadcast last night.

And there was Craig Council discussing Pete Crow Armstrong's performance on his historical night.

Well, it was a little short-lived.

My excitement was a little short-lived.

Truthfully.

That's it.

Yeah, well, that was a really good at-bat, and that's a tough at-bat.

I mean, after you've done what you've done in the night and to, I think, this is where I think there's been improvement from Pete is just, like, to control your emotions and not try to, like, I got to be the hero and swing at every pitch, and I think that's where he's improving, and I think that was a, you know...

you know, that was probably my favorite at bat because it was just like hit a ball hard, have a great at bat, kind of control yourself within the at bat and swing at the right pitches.

And that's the growth that's exciting to see.

Yeah, I mean, I think that's part of it.

I mean, I think, you know, it's just, you know, the high of the cycle, you know, first pitch getting picked off and then coming up later in the game in a really critical at bat with a chance –

to win the game, not to win the game, but to put the team ahead if you try to hit a home run, and just having a good at-bat and trying to square the ball up and see what happens.

That ball could get by him and score two, and the game could be won right there.

But it was just a good at-bat and then the right at-bat.
