He enjoyed the story of the movie.

I went in knowing a decent amount about Michael Jackson, so I didn't come in expecting to learn anything.

I felt inspired by the story of independence and him growing to do his own thing.

He's shaking off his dad, all that shit.

Last thing I'll say, if this was on Netflix, or if this was maybe even on a network, we'd be praising it.

I think because it's a cinematic release, the expectation was higher.

But just as an entertaining movie...

I thought the kid did a good job playing Michael Jackson, which I didn't expect.

I thought the costumes and makeup... The kid as in who?

I thought Jafar did a good job.

I thought the costumes and makeup was solid.

There were some mistakes, like, you know, wrong hairstyle for the wrong year, little nerd mistakes.

But I thought the shit was... Honestly, I expected it to be... I thought I was going to come in here giving it a C-, and I would give it a B. Oh, really?
