And like you do get fatigued at some point, um, unless you're David Goggins, there are certain things that you can use to,
kind of grease the wheels of your willpower right so i think social pressure is one of them you get a lot more leverage out of your willpower if you're like surrounded by people who are rooting for your success or doing the same thing you're doing i think another thing that like leverages your willpower and makes it go much much further is finding an impactful why behind the
the change you're trying to make.
And this is something that's very fundamental in motivation that probably doesn't get talked about enough.
But if you are doing something for very superficial reasons, the emotional fuel that comes with wanting to make that change is going to run out very quickly.
Whereas if the motivation for a major change in your life is very deep and profound, that is going to persist forever.
over a long period of time.
And so those days that you wake up and you don't feel like doing the thing, you're gonna be much more likely to actually get up and do the thing.
I had a great conversation.
There's a famous podcaster in the branding and design world named Chris Doe.
And it was really interesting.
I went on his show and he, for some reason, we were talking about exercise.
And he was like, I work out every day, and I have for like 10 years, but I hate it.
He said, why is that?
And I was like, well, that's interesting, because most people don't continue to do something they hate for 10 years.
So I started asking him a bunch of questions about his motivations or whatever.
Short version of the story is that he basically never exercised his entire life.
