There's real traction in that politically, and Hanson will tell you that, and she's living proof of it, of course.
But he's going to give half a million undocumented migrants...
Legality.
And he says, to acknowledge the reality of nearly half a million people who already form part of our everyday lives.
So in other words, he says they wanted into the country anyway, so may as well make them legal.
The opposition obviously are ropeable about it.
A necessity for Spain, an act of justice as well.
So that's the socialist side of them, an act of justice.
The practical side is the necessity because they, like everyone else around the world, they will do jobs that the local Spanish people don't necessarily want to do.
The last time somebody did that to this degree in Europe was in Germany.
And Angela Merkel, who was incredibly popular at the time, did let a million people in.
And she said, we're all refugees once.
And her political career literally blew up in front of her eyes as a result of that.
