She is the only woman in the world to have completed swims in the notorious Drake Passage and the Bering Straits.

In 2018, she became the first swimmer in history to complete the meeting of the oceans, swimming the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean in the mountainous and freezing waters of the Drake Passage, two miles south of Cape Horn, 100 nautical miles south of the southern tip of South America.

So square that person with the one you described in your secondary life.

That is a bit more.

So before we get into what it was actually like, why did you do it?

These feats of looking at the adventure part of your job description.

Were you proving someone or something?

For you?

This is before the whole, it all took off and it became very corporate.

Well, it's like anything, often the hardest thing is to just start.

Or the thing you dread in a day, it's the dread of starting it.

But once it's started, you're like, sure, I'm on the road to ending it here.

So do you have no expectations of yourself?
