So you go along to these things.

Now here's an interesting tale.

You go along to this clinic, you see, which is the orthopaedic clinic at the hospital.

And I thought, now before I go, I'm going to pay to go and see a specialist so I know what's going on.

I go and see this guy called Peter Devane.

He says, yep, well, you've got this.

You'll go to this clinic and you have no chance of getting it done.

Oh, thanks, Peter.

He says, look, I'm not trying to be mean, but there'll be 100 people presenting worse than you.

You need to come and see someone like me and go private.

I said, well, I've got no insurance.

I'm not going private.

I'm going to have a crack at this.

So I go along to the clinic.

Who's running it?

Peter Devane.

And he says, I told you, it's not looking good.

Anyway, so I go through, get this letter saying, you recently went to the orthopaedic clinic for a hip replacement.

Your surgeons recommended you for surgery.

You know, you would benefit from the surgery, but we run a priority system, and unfortunately, you don't make the cut.
