It's all scripted, Gerrard.
Spurs will go down, then the juicy bit.
The following season, they'll finish bottom three, and then we'll see the Welcome to Tottenham documentary on Netflix as they climb out of the third division.
And yep, Tottenham is the soccer version of Carlton.
0-4-3-3-98-11-16.
That has been an easy analogy to draw for a couple of years now.
Someone brought up the earlier idea, make round one a big thing.
I like the sound of it.
Why not make an Australian round celebrating everything Australian, having a game in each state and territory, Aussie entertainment, beer, food.
I think that sounds great.
Jack of Geelong, let's replace opening round with a second gather round in southeast Queensland.
Do it during the June school holidays and let's take the game to the north in style.
Joe and Mooney Ponds, thank God they finally got forced into dropping the opening round format, but I still would have given the northern states the home games and the biggest pulling teams like Suns and Tigers, Lions and Blues, Swans and Bombers, Giants and
highs than all the rest in Tassie WA and South Australia I think that will I think that's the entirely likely outcome is four big games in the northern states to get it fully launched there but there's no need to exclude the rest of the country next year's the one off it'll go the other side of the 150th test and then the following year we need to utilize the long weekend as it is in Victoria and South Australia
And you could start Wednesday if you chose to, certainly Thursday, and play all the way through to a Monday blockbuster with a Sunday night game as well, which provides the capacity to facilitate those huge northern state games with big rivalries and to get those going.
So there was always a neat solution to this situation.
The first year, it started with promise.
We got a bonus weekend of footy when grounds weren't necessarily going to be available.
The second year, it got scuppered by the cyclone.
