And I always had that idea in my mind.

One day I would like to go there to Mount Marble to do like a survey or to lead an expedition.

So in 2022, we managed to go to the Sky Islands.

And then after a couple of days in the field, we realized the community of deadbeats in Mount Marble were extraordinary.

We were amazed.

We were fantastic.

We had a lot of interesting stuff that we collected.

What did you collect?

After less than a week in the field to have an idea, it was a very short trip.

We collected a range of beetles, from big rollers to tiny flightless dung beetles to have an idea.

During the trip, I discovered 50 new species.

50 new species, or 15?

No, no, 15, one to five.

In the second trip, I discovered additional two new species to science.

And in the third trip, I'm still working on data.

meaning that in Mount Mabu we can found a huge community of dunk beetles.

Oh, well, congratulations.

You've proved that it's special.

I mean, it looks pretty special, but you've proved it with biodiversity.

And now the Mozambique government's decided to protect it.
