And because we are journalists, of course, we did something about that for our audience.
But amongst ourselves, we shared what we love about the continent.
So our colleagues were speaking about different types of foods from different countries, you know, attires.
Some of my colleagues dressed in their traditional attires to come to the office.

I would love to watch different bureaus of the BBC around the world doing their interpretation of a dance-off.
I suspect there might be quite a lot of dad dancing coming from the UK pubs.
They say that in Africa we dance vigorously.
Yeah, I get to witness that.
So, yeah, it was interesting, you know.
But this is a science show.
And recently I was speaking with my cousins about some new research on the African continent.
Of course, I'm pleased that other people do this with their cousins.
Like, here's a fun fact that I learned from science.
OK, so it started as those, you know, when you are thinking out of the box and some of my cousins were saying, you know, I wish we had a beach here.
I wish this happened.
And so one of my cousins actually said, what if we had an ocean like or a sea, you know, in between Africa?
