And that's got to do with keeping my cortisol levels low, I think, which is comfort.
But it also simplifies my life because let's say tonight, if I have to get three tubes home or just hop in an Uber, that simplifies my life.
I can just hop in an Uber.
And it's also freedom because it gives me the freedom to choose that way of getting home.
I love this so much.
Can we talk about the beautiful expensive things?
Yeah.
What fits into that bucket?
So yeah, it's not beauty in terms of like cosmetics.
It's more that I'm not gonna feel ashamed if there are two options of the exact same thing.
Like let's say there's this water bottle and there's another water bottle.
And if this water bottle is more aesthetically pleasing and costs, you know, 20 pounds more, I'm not gonna feel guilty because I chose the more aesthetic thing.
I do care about that stuff.
And I definitely think part of the reason why I was feeling deprived before I worked this out was because I would, my sensible brain would say, but they're exactly the same.
So why don't you just buy the cheaper one?
And then I buy the cheaper one and I'd feel like deprived or like dissatisfied.
Now I've got the water bottle, but now I'm going to look for something else.
Like, you know, like a magpie, I need something else that's beautiful that I can shiny and buy because that hasn't satisfied that feeling.
Yeah, okay, if we went back to the cake thing, it would be like choosing a gluten-free, flour-free, sugar-free, and then you still kind of want... Yeah, it's like when you're on diet and you're like, I really want a piece of chocolate, but you give yourself an apple, then you have peanut butter, then you have this, and then you're like, at the end of the day, I should have just had the chocolate.
