We just needed a little something, a little bit of a boost.

And we needed a good goaltender.

And Billy Ranford was just amazing in goal for us, made some key saves, gave us a chance to win.

And then the kit line provided a little bit of a spark.

And then the leadership kind of took charge.

The Anderson, the Messier, the Curie took charge from there.

And then everything from that point on just kind of went our way.

Do you remember that performance?

I do.

He was on a mission.

He was just – in one of those games that you look at a player and –

And not too many guys can take the team on their back and make it happen.

Mess had the ability to do that with his compete, with his skill set, but he had some meanness to his game.

And if you recall, the playoffs back then were pretty harsh and pretty hard.

So that game, he just kind of took charge.

He was a man on a mission for sure.

Yeah, well, you know what?

It's amazing.

It's a fine line between winning and losing.

Game one, overtime, you know, you lose that one, change it to momentum.
