So they certainly don't need the money right now or you wouldn't be putting the money in there in the first place.

Which is why I often say that junior ISAs is one of those really, unless you're starting it for a 17-year-old who's going to get money in a year, is one of those really obvious areas where people should be biased towards investing more than saving.

But you can have both as long as you don't put more than £9,000 in both in total.
