There were about three of them. Three or four out of the 14 that were on our team. So, I mean, I'm not really good at math, so I don't know.

Yes, I had a lot of backlash and a lot actually from girls on my team that agreed with this individual being on the team. A lot of people at my school and parents online actually have gone after me and attacked me online for speaking out about this matter and asked if I was mad of the other girls who got to play over me. A lot of people actually called me once.

I got a comment online saying that I was racist from all of this. And I'm like, how does that have to relate? It just has to do with all this. Like if you speak out about one thing, you're called names for everything because everyone likes to put a label on it. You know what I mean?

It definitely strengthened me and it definitely took a big toll on my senior year. And if I could take anything back from this is that you can't stay silent. You have to speak up for what you believe in and don't let anyone else get to you. And don't let anybody else silence you and tell you that you are wrong for what you think.

Stand up. Don't stay silent. I mean, you can't, if you're going to stay silent, then you can't make a change and nothing's going to change. If you stay silent, things are going to continue to go the way they are. And the direction that things are going is not a good direction. And it's not something I want to see in the future.
