One other thing before we move on from what we are starting to understand about the goals of these strikes.
President Trump made clear in his remarks from Mar-a-Lago earlier today that stopping Iran getting a nuclear weapon.
is a goal.
He has said that repeatedly.
That's been a consistent position of American presidents across both parties across many years now.
I just want to note, Daniel, Iran says it is not trying to develop a nuclear weapon.
President Trump had told us that the nuclear program was obliterated last summer.
We haven't seen evidence yet, have we?
They have not presented evidence that Iran was, in fact, successfully rebuilding a program.
And which we saw on full display today in terms of Iran's response.
