we really need to be so careful about how we consume news.

Because if you're looking at news as how can I make this the most exciting for me, you're losing touch with what's going on.

Because our goal, and I think every person in the age of the internet has a responsibility here, should be to understand the facts and the truth of it, not to take it to the next level and to hope that we can turn it into something that it's not.

And look, I'm a journalist.

I love a great story.

i i will love a good news cycle but what i truly care is about the truth and it makes me so upset and angry to see people weaponizing people who are grieving like erica kirk to see people jumping on narratives and pushing narratives because it's fun and i had to say this to someone that i'm close with the other day a friend i said look

This isn't fun for the people who are involved.

It might be fun for you to guess and speculate, but don't forget there are real people involved and it is really irresponsible of us to be pushing narratives that aren't real.

Now, if it's true, if you have evidence to back it up, please tell me.

I want to know.

I want to write about it.

Right.

But don't be just guessing and pushing things because these are real people involved.
