Collective bargaining is one of the ways that this could get solved.
And if the Congress door doesn't work, which I'm not saying it will or won't, but if we play that out where the Senate bill dies like all the other bills have died, it doesn't go anywhere.
We're talking in the fall about what's going to happen with college sports.
Maybe collective bargaining is the only door really that's left to try and walk through it in a timely manner and fix things now before they get worse.
But again, all these solutions here are really tough and complicated.
That's why we're so into that.
Because here's the thing about college sports.
When you give people more money, they will spend it.
It's not like β I really object to the β or I really like the idea that college sports doesn't have a spending problem or a revenue problem.
I really think that's the way it is because there's zero reason why schools that make $200 million off of sports and they're paying 20 to the athletes directly, they shouldn't be in a situation where they're like, oh my gosh, we don't have money.
But the problem is that for years, schools didn't have to worry about the bottom line and trying to balance the budget.
