I mean, they could go on a run and really do some damage and compete.
They could also crash out and, you know, knock it out of their group, which would be devastating.
I would say that they have yet to settle on lineup, the consistency.
And I do think there's something to be said about experience.
They don't have a ton of experienced players.
And the thing that happened with that is, and Tim Howard was the guy who I think brought this point up, and it's a great point.
So when we lost and did not qualify for the World Cup in 2018, they basically cleaned house with all the veterans, which...
That's what I would have done if I was in that position.
You clean house and you say, hey, we're hosting a World Cup on our home soil in eight years, and we've got eight years to prepare.
So let's take the biggest group of young players that we have and just throw them into the fire and give them eight years to play together and get all these experiences and become a team.
And that was the approach they took, which on paper I agree with.
The problem with that is they did not have anybody above them to pass down the lessons and the experiences and the intangibles that happen within a locker room.
And I underestimated the importance of that.
