Yeah, it's when your offense was as bad as it was last year.
My number one concern with this power team going into the year, it's easy to think I'm smart right now, was defense.
Because of where everybody was.
And I think that the chance that Griffin has of being an elite fielder,
could really bolster this.
I just think everybody's got to stay patient with Griffin.
And I think Triolo is going to be a role player that's really needed on this team, on that left side of the infield.
It just doesn't go smoothly the whole way through.
And he's kind of the whipping boy right now because everybody wants that shiny new toy that's in AAA.
Yeah, he was very impressive.
And I think what really got him going is, and we talked about this in the first hour, he kept dropping the curveball in for strike one.
And it wasn't a bad curveball.
I wouldn't call it a get-me-over curveball, but it was one that was consistently, consistently getting him ahead of strike one.
And then, you know, it's funny when you say $97 fastball is like a
normal fastball in today's day and age it's it's it's kind of scary but like he's throwing hard enough the pitch selections there enough you know he's these guys are built they look like starting pitchers they look like they can be horses for like the whole year and and I think that you know
This is how winning teams are built.
Somebody like Ashcraft could end up being your number two, even if he's your number two for two months of the season, we'll say.
He pitches like an absolute stud for two months of the season, and then maybe it's Chandler or maybe it's Keller or whoever else takes that spot.
Yeah, they don't have to be in the right order, but somebody is just like, every time you give him the ball, he's going six innings, he's going seven innings, he's going eight innings, and getting them deep in games and saving the bullpen, and when they get a lead, he wins the game and finishes it off.
And he's a very impressive first outing.
