There's been a lot of managers that have done it his way.
I think one of the things that stuck out to me with Donnie right away last year
is how he uses the bullpen.
I think his use of the bullpen was so much better when he got the job.
You could tell guys were comfortable with their roles.
They knew their roles.
Their roles were consistent.
And I think that that's the part that nobody likes to talk about.
that's the winning part of baseball in today's day and era when you have pitchers going five innings.
And, and he kind of like, I feel like those guys have confidence in him and what he's going to decide to do when he's going to do it.
And I think the fire, like I, I, I think some of it's probably intentional, the intentional fire that you saw last night, you saw it a lot last year, right?
When he got the job getting thrown out of some games.
Players love that.
Players want to see that.
Fans love it, right?
And again, especially this Pittsburgh town that is a tough, blue-collar town, they love the fact that he's out there fighting on a call or whatever the case may be.
And that was Barco on the mound, correct, at the time?
I believe it was.
Yes, and how about this?
He's mad because he knows Barco's kind of in a jam.
