Like when that thing, they would be running in there to get that front row at the time, at least when I was playing.
And it was a party.
I got to pitch opening day there one time.
It was awesome.
A blizzard the day before.
Fortunately, I guess for me as a pitcher, because when it's cold, the wind blows in.
And I've told this story once more on the air, so I apologize if I'm repeating it to you.
But great game for me.
The front office actually, the day off before, were shoveling the bleachers, the snow off the bleachers.
Had a win, faced the Expos.
Vlad Guerrero rolled up against me in like the sixth inning with a 30-mile-an-hour wind blowing in from left.
No batting gloves, no sleeves on, and hit a line drive home run through the wind is my one run I gave up.
But it was... Wrigley, it was always a party.
And it was really a party.
I wish I could have won the championship there.
I got as close as you can get with the Bartman incident and all that happening.
But like...
That era where they wanted the winner before they won was when you were good or even close to good.
That was so exciting.
And I think that's what you have a chance for at PNC this year if they stay in this race.
