How much is going to be deferred?
And how much are they going to offer them?
Because that's going to be the Dodgers or the Yankees.
I could see the Yankees, you know, they haven't really opened up the paybook on somebody recently that was a free agent.
Like,
I can see this being the guy that they go get.
Well, I got to give the Dodgers credit.
They've beat the system with this deferred money stuff.
They reached out to the overseas market, and they're making probably way more money from the overseas market they're getting from Otani and Sasaki and Yamamoto and all those guys.
And as much as I want to complain about it,
and say this is unfair, like, hey, you're allowed to defer money.
They're willing to defer it.
They want to win championships.
Why would we stop?
And, you know, to answer your question, Austin, it can be a little bit deflating in that situation, but it also can be a rallying call, too.
Like, you can be โ it felt like it should have been the rallying call in the World Series last year with Toronto, but then Toronto was the third highest payroll.
So it really didn't feel like it.
You know, it didn't feel like it.
But, like, when the Rays are trying to win the division against โ
you know, the Red Sox and the Yankees, that's when it can be like a rallying call for a team like the Pirates or whatever the case may be that, hey, you're paying all this money and we're beating you right now.
