Miguel, I'm going to play a clip of Infantino yesterday from his press conference where at least he didn't start saying that he was a migrant and that he was gay like you said back three and a half years ago in Qatar.
But he had this response to the news that the Somali referee Omar Artan had been denied entry to the United States ahead of the World Cup.
Miguel, when a man tells you he's doing his best behind the scenes, does that indicate he's actually doing shag all?
Sorry, Miguel, you made a really interesting point as well during the week about how when Indonesia refused to allow an Israeli team have visas for the World Under-20 tournament, Infantino was able to act on that.
Okay, I just see as well, we've got news this afternoon as well, is that Somali referee who's been barred from the World Cup has been appointed by UEFA to officiate at the Super Cup in August.
Okay, the other thing, Miguel, before we get to the tournament games themselves and what teams might win the thing, the fans from Ireland had a great experience there in 1994.
I was lucky enough to be over there as well for it, and it was a terrific experience.
But it seems that...
grift is everywhere in relation to this World Cup.
Overpriced tickets for the matches, overpriced hotels, overpriced transportation.
We're now seeing as well that there are stories of enterprising English and Scottish fans
who had been hiring buses to bring them lengthy distances to the games from cheaper hotels, suddenly been told by the bus providers, the price is going up a few thousand dollars or you're not getting your bus.
It just seems that this whole thing is designed to screw the foreign tourist.
Okay, we've got to take a quick break.
We'll be back with more Miguel Delaney and Dion Fanning straight after this.
Welcome back.
This is our World Cup preview.
Miguel Delaney, Chief Football Writer of The Independent, is with us.
And Dion Fanning, co-host of the Free State podcast.
And Dion, something I mentioned to Miguel there a little bit earlier, and I think this is something we should talk about with the teams who are going to contend, and what type of football we're going to get to see.
