Okay, just tell us a bit more about the book, because is there a danger that now when people see something to do set in Derry, that they immediately think of Derry Girls and are going to start comparing it to Derry Girls?
But it is a challenge, isn't it, as well, to get 13 different voices to make sure that they don't all seem the same.
How much of a challenge was that for you as a writer?
But is it also a bit of a mystery, as in there is a central character who's gone missing?
That that is the driving part of the story?
The era in which it's set, you weren't born then, were you?
Yeah, because the reason I bring that up is that, I mean, how much memory do you actually have of violence in the North?
I mean, you're basically a child of the peace process, aren't you?
Yeah, we've had quite a few, Jan Carson and recently we've had Louise Kennedy on the programme, Michael McGee.
There are so many authors now writing about 20th century and 21st century Northern Ireland.
I wonder how important that actually is, is to give an accurate picture of what happened because...
An awful lot of the history of the time now has almost become politicised.
Politicians and others are telling their truth as they see it.
But I wonder how important is the role actually going to be of authors like yourself to get to the truth through fiction?
Although you've been living in London now for how long?
I think so yeah
And just come back to when you mentioned the audiobook earlier.
Would you prefer people to read the physical printed book or to listen to it?
