I feel like the offense has been pretty stale the last few years.
I remember in that era that I was covering this team, 2016 to 2021, 22, you felt like every year it's like, okay, week one, what are you going to see Andy Reid do that he hasn't done before?
And I don't remember the last time, Saran, that I watched a game early in the season or anything where I'm like, okay, well, that's a new wrinkle from Andy Reid.
I mean, the last thing was, you know, really I felt like was probably the shovel passes that they introduced to it was maybe the big, big change.
And that's been like five years or so, at least, since they started putting those into the offense.
They've got to be bringing back some wrinkles.
And whether it's looking at some other teams, because let's face it, I mean, you know, the Rams, what they were doing last year with some 13 personnel,
Honestly, I mean, that's stuff from the old West Coast playbook that Andy Reid used to run.
I mean, Sean McVay was just stealing from the past and bringing it back and putting it in and taking advantage of what personnel and what talent he had.
And I feel like this offense the last few years has been trying to do the exact same thing regardless of what the talent is.
In the immortal words of Gary Pinkle, you just do what we do.
So I think they have to have some new wrinkles, but I'm just not sold that Andy Reid's going to have a bunch of brand new stripes.
You've got to hope that it looks a little bit different, and maybe they take some of the things that aren't working and that are β because let's face it, the Chiefs rely more on RPOs than anybody else in the league.
I mean, the rest of the league has been kind of like, okay, well, that has run its course.
It's time to move on because everybody's seen that.
