And this is it.
This is the moment it's all been leading up to.
I mean, maybe I'm biased by my own Twitter feed, which admittedly is a filter bubble that I have built, but it seems like almost everyone sees this as a huge power grab.
And then there are a few administration toadies who are
you know, in obvious bad faith, bending over backwards to justify it by willful misreadings of things.
And I feel like historically when that happens, what tends to result is those people all quietly just sort of change their minds and then we move on and everything is kind of normalized, for lack of a better word.
I hope that's what happens.
If that's all it takes for them to just pretend that they never said that and move on, it's fine.
I'm happy to pretend.
I mean, this connects to the surveillance idea, the fact that everyone is a criminal, right?
It's literally just the fact that the government can't pry into every single moment of your life that keeps you from being on the hook for all of your little useless crimes.
And if we lose that shield, then we immediately are in a tyranny, right?
Anyway, I feel strongly about this.
This is one of my things.
I think it's good to feel strongly about it.
I, I did like months, years ago, I guess.
I don't actually remember what model this was, but I asked, I asked the models, like, first of all, I lied to them, which I now feel bad about because I don't do that anymore.
But I, I said, Hey, we've uncovered you in the ruins of the far future.
