Um, I don't know if that's smart actually.

Um, so this, this is, this is like, I guess, personal to me, like one, one of the main, one of the only political issues that really gets me animated is, is surveillance and always has been because I just see it as like, there's no reason to do mass surveillance on your own citizenry, except to just like build, build a weapon that you can then use to control and bully.

And you don't want, no one should want this to exist because it's,

If the opposition gets control of it, you're screwed.

If your own side gets control of it, you have lost so much freedom.

I've always kind of been of the opinion that America lost something really important, permanently lost something really important with the Patriot Act because it was a loss of freedom.

And a lot of that freedom had to do with surveillance, our privacy and our freedom to just do stuff and not be monitored about it.

And this is taking Claude, which literally installs a program on everyone's computer and basically

saying hey DOD you can use this to build a surveillance network you can use it to spy on everyone you can use it to I mean you don't even need to be that creative of a science fiction person to think about what you could do with like a clawed agent ordered to monitor every single person in America build a dossier on them tell us who they're going to vote for

That's just the beginning of the list, right?

So it's like, yeah, we should not do this.

We should not let the government do this.

Absolutely should not let the government do this.

I'm actually less, you know, vitriolic about the kill chain stuff because I'm like, unfortunately, we already let autonomous systems make a lot of life and death decisions in war context.

I don't love it.
