They did not want him to be their starting third baseman this year whatsoever.

And then to all of a sudden put him into Utility Man wasteland, that doesn't sound like a good idea for your prospects.

I want to make sure I get this right so I'm not misquoting Spiegel, but talked to the Red Sox as it relates to Matthew Shaw.

So it's already out there that the Cubs may have already tried to shop him.

So what better place to keep him secure and getting better than the minor leagues?

And to that point, here's my thing.
