It was an embarrassing saga, one that clearly exposed the ignorance and the insane paranoia of the modern left.
Now, something similar is happening with the Anglo-Saxon rhetoric that Trump used.

That's controversial.
You know, if he had heard that line today, Jake Tapper would accuse John Adams of being a Nazi.
I mean, it's not even a joke.
That's what he would say.
The women of The View would never recover.
But it was an uncontroversial line when John Adams said it.
And it was an uncontroversial line when HBO made that miniseries in 2008.
There was no controversy over that.
