For all my disagreements with Pope Francis, I do believe he was a good man and a well-intentioned man. I like that a major part of his reign as Pope was to try and bring the East and the West closer together and seek reconciliation. All jokes aside, for any disagreements I had with him, the man I...

The man had a mission that I think was very important for Christianity, and I hope he will be remembered for the good he did rather than some of the more controversial things he said within the Christian community. So I am wishing all of the Catholics in the world the best. I understand that there's a lot of mourning happening at the moment, but the good news is there will be a new pope soon.

In the meantime, we've all still got Jesus, and that's what matters. And you know who else still had Jesus on the third day? The apostles. And I will be reading from John 20. John 20, the empty tomb. The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher, which is not where the stone was supposed to be.

Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, Now, I want to be clear. John does not say who the other disciple is here. Whom Jesus loved, the disciple whom Jesus loved. Now, as we know, this is how John refers to himself.

But then she runneth, and she cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulcher. So they both ran together, and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulcher.

Why is this one of my favorite verses of the Bible? It's because John... First of all, there is some conflict about whether or not the Gospels were written by their named authors. John's definitely was. There is no question in my mind about that. But John is like, yes. And as we came to the place where the Lord lies, I did outrun Peter. I am faster than Peter.

Also, where everybody else said that one of the disciples cut somebody's ear off, it was Peter, just so we're all clear. These people were human, and I love it. But I thought Easter Monday, the Monday after Easter, I should say, the best thing we could do was open with one of the best passages of the Bible, that being the one in which John brags about beating Peter to the tomb.
