Yeah. I think so, too. Because I don't think Burke intentionally harmed her. At least not... I don't think he premeditated... I don't think it was premeditated.

No, but he did express in these interviews how... I mean, remember, he said he remembered her as being nice, but she bugged him sometimes. Sorry, I but he said that things bothered him like the music when she played the Nintendo when she would go like, you know, taking his stuff like all of the things he said were like she bothers me by getting involved in my life.

it could have been something as simple as she grabbed a piece of his pineapple and he hit her in the head with a flashlight and then realized something's not right here. Like I might've fucked up. Sorry. I might've fudged up. So that's where I see that going.

Another thing that I wanted to talk about with this though, because of the John Douglas angle and Steve Thomas brings this up and I think he's right too. And we'll get to this in the next episode when we get through the moment where he and Steve Thomas actually meet and have a conversation and

In Douglas's book, he mentions how, to him, when he was told by the Ramsey lawyers that she was partially covered with a blanket. And he says this around the same time he's talking about how Thomas was wrong to say that this looked like familial staging. Based on the book where he describes familial staging. And he goes, well, I didn't write an instruction manual.

And I'm like, well, you kind of did. You wrote about a whole bunch of times it happened in explicit detail. And by saying that it's not convincing when you do it this way, you do tell somebody how to make it convincing. Because it's like, just don't do that. He says that the lawyers told him she was found partially covered by a blanket. And to him, that sounded more like an attempt to conceal.

Which, first of all, why would you not conceal the entire body? Why would you lazily throw a blanket over half of it and shove it into a room? Also, why not take the body out with you? You know how you conceal the body? You don't leave it in the basement. Anyway, he's like, that doesn't seem like staging.

Like, if it were staging, there would have been, like, you know, maybe a pillow, or at the very least, she would have been totally covered. What the lawyers didn't tell him and what maybe he didn't know when he was writing his book.

But if he had read Thomas's book, which he clearly did, unless somebody else read Thomas's book and then was like, hey, look at this specific page about what Thomas said. If he read Thomas's book, he would know that she wasn't just found with a blanket. Somebody had laid her favorite pink dress next to her. An intruder wouldn't know that's her favorite pink dress. A family member would.

Burke wouldn't care to place that there. John or Patsy would. In fact, Patsy specifically. I do think that one thing people brought up that seems very important is that, by all accounts, Patsy paid a lot more attention to JonBenet. Patsy was kind of living vicariously through JonBenet. Patsy got into the pageant world at 13.
