The eggs, I believe, derive from a tradition associated with Lent. And originally, it was just that at the end of Lent, you would take all the eggs. I think they would basically save up the eggs that were laid during Lent, and then they would eat them at the end as part of the celebration. So the eggs themselves come from Lent. The decorated eggs come from people decorating the Lent eggs.

But yeah, so like the Easter Bunny comes from the 17th century. Easter eggs come from the 13th century. And Germanic paganism died out in the 9th century. In Britain and Germany. And it died out in like the 11th century in Scandinavia. So not pagan at all. Not a single part of it. The dating is about Passover. Passover. The entire holiday, in fact, is the fulfillment of the Passover promise.

The blood of the lamb and the blood of the lamb. None of this is controversial, nor is it even up for debate. Easter is not pagan. It was never pagan. Christmas also is not pagan. I'm tired, Aiden. I'm tired of doing this every year.

Yeah, but anyway, the reason that Easter is when it is is because the calendar has changed. What they do know is that it was the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox.
