And the units then kept coming even after.
So we saw something like 8,000 units in pre-orders.
It was massive.
Bigger than probably what we could handle at the time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But you know, I wanted to become an entrepreneur, so I was not happy with my legal low life.
Yeah, so we started Sleep in 2015.
I started wondering why Elon Musk is taking me to Mars and I still spend a third of my life on a piece of damp foam.
And so we started looking into the problem and we identified the opportunity to leverage technology to enhance sleep.
Yeah, a couple of different things.
The most obvious is my co-founder, Max.
He's the CTO.
He would have never started a mattress company.
He told me since the beginning, if he's a mattress company, I'm out.
So I have no chance.
And second, more than anything,
I mean, there are good brands in the D2C space, so I have respect for them, but they are really selling a commodity that is foam.
If today you call a mattress manufacturer in the US just a factory, you can buy foam on your own and you can start the business tomorrow on your own.
