Because of why?
Because we lost the one thing we needed most.

Why did Gilgamesh lose it?
I think it's important that the world understands so that we never do it again.
Okay?
This is an important moment for us.
It's a tipping point for us.
He lost it because he was obsessed with his own mortality.
So if you read the Epic of Gilgamesh, he cared more about his own mortality than humanity.
So he used what he was given to try to extend his life.
and try to use it for his own benefit.
And because of that, he caused it to be lost and he caused us to essentially lose ourselves.
