It's 30th to 40th parallel, depending on where you are.
Well, that's going to be South.
But keep in mind our climate- Can you find it, Steve?
Our climate is not the same here as it is in those parts of the world.
You have what's called the Gulf current off of the Atlantic that creates huge warming environments in a lot of Europe and in even parts of Western Asia.
So the latitude doesn't necessarily always- The latitude doesn't matter?
Doesn't always work out that way because, for instance, you know the climate of London, right?
I've never been to London.
Well, it's just rainy and mild.
Whereas that's way for the North of New York City.
And yet New York City or Boston or wherever gets snow every year, right?
It has to do with climatic effects.
But the reason I'm saying this is that there are pieces of evidence in the Southwest United States that we're going to get into.
It doesn't work that way because of glaciation.
As I was saying, the climate.
The ice caps in Europe and Asia were very different than they were in North America.
The Laurasian ice cap in North America was like the largest on earth besides Antarctica.
Okay.
So it just became a very inhospitable place.
