I got to be in front of Canada's locker room and do interviews when they arrive.
So it's crazy on match day, boys.
Good to talk to you.
Although I'm seeing a jersey on Hayes and a jersey on Noodles.
Oh, dog, what's going on, man?
Where's the jersey?
If Canada absolutely needs him, Jesse Marsh said yesterday he's going to use Canada's captain.
What that situation is and how long, that's the question.
Alphonso Davies hasn't played since the beginning of May when he injured his left hamstring against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semifinals.
So there have been extra physio here with the Canadian team to make sure that Davies and Bambino and all the injuries they've had, Jacob Schaffberg, Ali Ahmed, that they're all good.
It looks like Ali Ahmed's up to full health, and so is Jacob Schaffelberg.
The two surprising things are that Canada's confident that Alphonso Davies is, again, not 100%.
He's not going to start this game.
But that he is somewhere that if Canada need him, in the worst-case scenario, that they could use him.
I mean, and that's the thing.
Jesse Marsh doesn't want to use Alphonso Davies or Moise Bambino tonight.
He wants the guys who are going to be on the field to take care of the job.
Because this is the perfect opportunity to do that.
And if they have to rely on Davies and Bambino...
then it means they absolutely need them, but they don't want that to be the case tonight.
