My work has always been and my mission has always been to ease suffering in the world and to leave the world a better place than I came into it.
And yeah, right now that involves talking about stuff beyond the scope of nutrition.
So to me, it was always like a head scratcher of a comment and which I've just intuitively been able to shrug off.
But I can see how people with less conviction might take that take that in another way.
Amen.
So I want to go back to confidence.
I want to see if I can synthesize how to appear more confident.
So what you were saying at the beginning of our conversation is that
Competent action begets confidence, not the other way around.
So sometimes we expect that we've got to be confident in order to be competent in terms of our actions and our behaviors.
But in fact, we can act our way to a more confident mindset.
It's like really empowering because we can't always control, you know, like the biochemical, neurochemical cocktail that's informing our behaviors.
Internal locus of control versus external locus of control.
Yeah, would love that.
But also, how would you address cynics who are like, this is all well and good, but these are kind of luxury beliefs.
I'm too old or I'm too bogged down with life's myriad responsibilities.
I've got kids.
I've got bills to pay.
I can't really change that much of my life right now.
And... It's not to be successful by somebody else's standards.
