And the big thing for me last year was, could Arsenal get a striker to take them to the next level?
Or we looked at that position on left-hand side, your left winger, was Martinelli good enough?
They brought in Eze, Madweke's done really well.
So you're thinking for Arsenal, historically, I would say, you would need someone who scores 10 to 15 goals.
to get them over the line.
As long as they perform the same way, good defensive structure, good in midfield, just someone to help out Saka.
That was the narrative.
I think they found that player.
He's called own goal.
So you look at Jokeres' numbers and you're thinking, that doesn't look like it's enough to get them over the line.
But other teams around them are not doing what they're supposed to be doing.
Man City dropping points, Villa dropping points, Man United falling off, although they've...
bounce back from earlier on in the season.
And then Chelsea having a new manager.
So all the things have fallen in their favour.
But now it looks like with Havertz coming back, Jesus coming back and scoring, Jokeres getting a goal, they could just share out the goal.
So now...
I would say, yes, they are in pole position.
And I believe it now because of the strength and depth that they have in the squad.
But with Jokeres' numbers coming in and being that guy, I wasn't convinced.
