So you're sitting with a deep sense of listening.
You're placing your attention on your intention.
You're saying to yourself, this is the first time I've ever meditated, whether you are a veteran or whether you are a newbie.
This is my very first time.
I'm in beginner's mind.
I'm like a child.
And so now I sit and I can place my attention on my breath.
Why?
Because you can't breathe in the future and you can't breathe in the past.
This breath is happening presently.
And so now my attention and I'm present.
with my intention, my deep listening, and my beginning consciousness.
And now I'm available to what?
Insight, revelation from my intention, because that's what I'm interested in, that will wake me up from my limited paradigm.
In that, it's a combination of the pasala meditation and how I've designed it as Beckwith.
And so then if something comes up, you observe it, but you don't try to get rid of it or enhance it.
Like if an emotion comes up, a sensation in the body, crazy thoughts, you learn how to watch it because you're not those thoughts.
You're the awareness watching the thoughts.
And then after a while, what you're watching changes on a subatomic level based on your observation.
The scientists call that the observer effect.
