Another thing to kind of mention around that orchestration piece is not only can we orchestrate from the production over to a secondary, is we've got the ability to offload, not only reduce that impact on the VMware environment on the live site, we've also got the ability to then just
ping that snap mirror over to a second and then actually take the backup from there.
So again, now completely removing any impact to the whole production environment when it comes to taking those snapshots and taking a backup.
So the NetApp E-Series ExpressPak consists of the 2800 series, the E-Series 2800 series.
So there's two flavors, one with four terabyte drives, one with eight.
There's a configuration guide, a validated design, if you like, that's
being worked on at the moment jointly between Veeam and NetApp and ultimately these ExpressPacks go, they join up when they get to the distribution layer and then as partners they can
they can position that out to you as part of the solution.
But they're sized accordingly, so you'll be able to see a good estimate around how many Veeam sockets or how many virtual machines you'd expect to be able to protect onto that system.
Also, obviously, the usable capacity and all of that stuff.
How long do you want to keep your data for?
All of them movable parts and numbers.
But ultimately, the ExpressPack is there to be able to consume that small, medium, large type backup repository.
But the real compelling point to why the 2800 and Veeam is ultimately because... And it's always been a great SAM backup appliance, right?
It's always been...
very good for Veeam to throw our backups straight onto that.
We can do our own software deduplication, so expect to see a 2 to 1, 50% saving on there.
But what now the E2800 brought was the ability to start a read cache.
So we were just talking about all of that great stuff about leveraging that data.
So that read cache is really going to just help accelerate that read operation from that backup target.
