So that's really all I'm doing.
I just picked up a couple books here on my trip here that I'm looking forward to reading.
One's called Scrubland.
Who wrote that?
Chris Hammer.
Chris Hammer, yeah.
I did an event with him a couple nights ago and heard enough about the book that this is going to be about a place that I know nothing about and it should be an interesting journey for me.
So I got a 12-hour flight on Sunday, and that's what I'm going to read.
Well, it's interesting because I think Harry Bosch and jazz is what the ocean does for Ballard.
But I've just in recent months, there's been some interest in maybe doing a TV show for Ballard.
And so I've been thinking in terms of, you can't help but do it.
Like what would be the opening?
music, and I really like this song called Welcome to My Dark Side.
Actually, it's called Dark Side, but the phrasing in the song is Welcome to My Dark Side.
And it's by a female artist named Bishop Briggs.
And I keep hearing that now when I write about Ballard.
And I think it transcends Ballard to the city of Los Angeles.
So if I had to pick a song right at the moment, it's not jazz.
It's more of a...
contemporary rock or it almost comes close to being electronic music, I would pick Dark Side.
